One month on: delivering the right experience

It’s now been a little over a month since our preview event in Soho, the days are getting longer, the weather is getting better (well sort of) and since then we’ve been busy preparing for a lot of exciting, upcoming reveals. It was great to finally be able to announce ourselves to the world, share our vision for the athletic fit menswear sector and give everyone a first look at our 2018 range.

It’s now been a little over a month since our preview event in Soho, the days are getting longer, the weather is getting better (well sort of) and since then we’ve been busy preparing for a lot of exciting, upcoming reveals. It was great to finally be able to announce ourselves to the world, share our vision for the athletic fit menswear sector and give everyone a first look at our 2018 range.

Being able to talk to so many of you throughout the evening, making new connections and listening to your thoughts, opinions and feedback was invaluable. One thing that stood out was the overwhelming amount of positivity and shared enthusiasm for the brand and the products, and a shared enthusiasm for our goal of creating a community and partnership led brand that is constantly listening, engaging and learning, rather than just becoming another company that sells clothes.

We strongly believe that this approach is the only way to create great products, stay true to our own values as well as never distancing ourselves from why we started Hale. For something that has grown out of a passionate side-project, we’ve come a long way.

One thing that stood out was the overwhelming amount of positivity and shared enthusiasm for the brand and the products.

In the last month we’ve been busy progressing our sample range to get our five main menswear staples (Shirts, Jeans, Chinos, Polos and Tees) ready for production. We’ve trialed final samples with a range of body shapes and sizes, involving players and athletes from our growing community as well as models to find the right average for our range. We’re now in the process of finalising our initial sizing range, detailing the branding and finishing of the garments and placing those all important orders ready for launch day.

We’ve also been very focused on creating a seamless, considered and involving customer experience across online, from the website itself through to the purchase process, packaging, delivery and customer service. We are dedicated to providing quality, consistency, honesty and attention to detail across everything we do, not just in our products. For us, It’s not just about packing things in a box, it’s thinking about the why, applying that same daily dedication and focus that we have in the gym or on the pitch into our brand. If we didn’t do this, we’d feel like we were letting ourselves, our community and our customers down (and we’re pretty sure you guys would take no time in letting us know!)

For us, creating an elegant, seamless experience from our story through to purchase, packaging and customer service is just as important as the quality, style, fit and comfort of our products.

We know that fit is so important to get right, and that’s why we’ll have a dedicated area for fit, shape and sizing to make sure you always have the right information before you commit to buying anything from us. We’re making the site simple, clear and elegant – so whether you just want to find out more about us, browse the collection or make a purchase, it’ll always be a pleasing, pain free experience.

We’re carrying this simplicity through to our purchase, delivery and returns process – a simple online retail experience with free delivery for orders over £100, shipping via one of the most reliable couriers (DPD) and no risk 30 day returns.

As we’ve already mentioned, our community is incredibly important to us. But it’s important to note it’s in no way exclusive. We’re an inclusive brand, and we want to encourage you all to become part of the Hale community. Even more importantly we’re always open to suggestions, feedback, ideas; or just a friendly chat.

We feel we have the beginning of a great brand, platform and products, but for us it’s not about resting on our laurels. We can always improve, and that’s where you can help us shape where we go. We know there are going to be bumps along the way, improvements we can make, ideas that we can develop.
